Description
To provide oversight of the preparation of Women’s Basketball student-athletes for Division I Intercollegiate athletic competition through the utilization of scientifically based principles of athletic performance training.
Responsibilities:

Design, lead and supervise year-round strength and conditioning programs for Women’s Basketball to optimize athletic performance, enhance player development and decrease injury potential.

Supervise, instruct, and provide technical assistance in the implementing speed, strength, agility and conditioning programs for Women’s Basketball.

Manage and oversee testing protocols to determine the effectiveness of strength and conditioning training plans and guide adjustments.

Assist in the implementation of rehab and reconditioning programs prescribed by the Sports Medicine staff.

Assist with various administrative duties including overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of weight room equipment, to include equipment planning, upkeep / repair and safety enforcement.. Maintain accurate records of student-athlete's progress.

Maintain direct communication with supervisor, Women’s Basketball coaches & staff, and Sports Medicine Staff to ensure a united approach to student-athlete development.

Assist with on-campus recruiting for assigned sports.

Drive a UT or rental vehicle on and off campus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in area that provides a knowledge base in exercise physiology and athletic performance.
- Two years of work experience as a full-time strength and conditioning coach in NCAA Division I Olympic sports and or professional sports.
- Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified, SCCC, through Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and/or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Sports Performance Coach certified, U.S.A.W. Excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills. AHA Adult CPR, AED certification.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
