Description
The Head Coach will maintain and /or enhance every aspect of the Beach Volleyball program as part of the mission of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Head Coach is expected to conduct himself/herself in a professional manner being a positive role model for his/her players, and will ensure assistant coaches and players conduct themselves in a professional manner abiding by the SCF, FCSAA and NJCAA Code of Conduct.
- The Head Coach will be responsible for knowing and abiding by all SCF, FCSAA and NJCAA policies and procedures, and is expected to loyally support all policies, procedures and decisions/interpretations rendered by these agencies.
- The Head Coach will be responsible for coaching, recruitment and selection of student-athletes, budgeting, scheduling of games, promotions, participation in state and national polls, input of statistics in a timely fashion, and public relations both on-campus and in the college district.
- The Head Coach is responsible for the academic tracking, class attendance, graduation rates, matriculation rates and four-year scholarship rates for all student-athletes.
- The Head Coach is responsible for participating in fund-raising projects to support intercollegiate athletics.
- The Head Coach will participate in non-athletic related college functions, as requested by the Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required, minimum of 2 years of related coaching experience at high school level or higher.

Supervisory experience is not required Leadership experience is preferred.
