Description
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Formulate and implement a successful philosophy to promote the educational, physical and mental welfare of the student-athlete.
- Develop a competitive program that will represent the institution and community in a positive manner.
- Develop recruitment plan and actively recruit high quality, high achieving student athletes.
- Prepare yearly budget for the program.
- Work with Athletic Administration to purchase all relevant equipment and maintain records of all purchases.
- Work with Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student Life to ensure all players meet applicable eligibility requirements and prepare all necessary forms on a timely basis.
- Develop practice and training schedule.
- Make all travel arrangements for team and recruiting.
- Conduct fundraising activities to supplement program budget.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years coaching experience at the college level.
- Demonstrated administrative and organizational experience as a collegiate football coach.
- Candidates must have the ability to successfully impart sport-specific knowledge.
- The demonstrated ability to identify and recruit student-athletes.
- This position requires well-developed communication skills, as well as strong time management and organizational skills.
- The demonstrated ability to manage a budget.
