Description
The Head Football Coach will lead and manage all aspects of the RMHS football program, including its long-term development, daily operations, and coordination of all levels of play. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing leadership for the football program, ensuring the growth and success of the team.
- Overseeing the organization and scheduling of practices, games, and events.
- Managing the program’s budget and resources.
- Assisting in the recruitment and management of assistant coaches.
- Coordinating with school administration, the athletic department, and booster organizations on public relations and community engagement.
Key Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Ability to build and strengthen the existing football program, setting high expectations for student-athletes and staff.
- Coaching Expertise: Knowledge and experience to develop football skills, tactics, and strategies across all phases of the game, and to elevate the coaching staff’s performance.
- Long-Term Vision: Development of a strategic plan to guide the football program’s growth and success, both short-term and long-term.
- Athletic Development: Experience working within an advanced strength and conditioning program to enhance student-athletes’ overall performance.
- Instruction & Mentorship: Ability to teach football philosophy, techniques, and skills to both players and assistant coaches.
- Program Management: Strong organizational skills to oversee clinics, summer camps, off-season programs, and staff meetings, ensuring alignment with program expectations.
- Delegation & Evaluation: Ability to delegate tasks, supervise execution, and assess staff performance at season’s end.
- Community Engagement: Maintain positive relationships with the media, parents, and local officials, and work closely with the school’s administration.
