Description
The Head Coach for Men’s Soccer/Recruitment and Special Events Support performs all of the duties associated with being the Head Coach including managing games and practices, recruitment, fundraising, retention, budget management, supervision and mentoring of student-athletes, scheduling, etc.
EXAMPLES OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages practice and game preparation with an emphasis on strategy and skill development; organizes, plans, schedules, and conducts safe training, practices, and conditioning activities.
- Assesses skills, instructs student-athletes on technique, and oversees team performance.
- Maintains and enhances expertise and game strategies.
- Fosters an academic and athletic experience which aligns with the ideals of the NCAA Division III philosophy.
- Embraces and models the NCAA Division III philosophy which emphasizes a balance of academics and athletics.
- Creates a diverse and inclusive team environment that leads to student-athletes meeting their full potential.
- Provides mentorship to student-athletes and provides opportunities for student-athletes to receive and provide feedback.
- Devises recruiting plans, implements recruiting strategies, and identifies, evaluates, and actively recruits student-athletes.
