Description
Freed-Hardeman University is seeking a Head Golf Coach. The Head Coach will report directly to the Athletic Director and is responsible for the planning, directing and evaluating of all aspects and facets of a nationally successful golf program at the NAIA level. Candidates must have the ability to develop players academically, athletically and spiritually.
Essential Duties:
- Formulate a successful philosophy in order to promote athletic success, academic achievement and spiritual growth.
- Develop practice and game schedules that follow guidelines set out by the NAIA, the affiliated conference and the university.
- Oversee all travel plans and arrangements for team and staff trips.
- Recruit a roster of talented student-athletes who are a good fit for the golf program and the university. The Athletic Director will determine minimum roster numbers.
- Provide academic support for all student-athletes while tracking academic progress.
- Develop and execute effective and challenging practices during which student-athletes are provided quality instruction and positive motivation.
- Demonstrate conduct that is in keeping with expectations of Freed-Hardeman University while always promoting in a positive manner.
- Operate within budget limits and guidelines.
