Head Coach – Men’s Lacrosse

Responsible for the overall management, recruitment, coaching, skills training, technical supervision, evaluation, preparation for practices, competition, and post-season play, and overall academic success of student-athletes involved in the MCCC Lacrosse Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for interacting with local high schools, other educational institutions, and community groups to identify and recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes on an annual basis.
• Interview potential student-athletes on-campus and provide tour of academic and athletic facilities
• Represent program and department by attending MCCC Open Houses, coaches’ meetings, and department functions as assigned by Athletic Director.
• Along with other members of coaching staff, work with student-athletes to teach specific sport-related skills, strategy and incorporates life skills into training.
• Help student-athletes develop competitive nature, teach ethical behavior and good sportsmanship, and assist in development of leadership skills.
• Develops and implements practice plans and schedule, and strategy for competition.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with competitive playing or coaching experience, college-level preferred.
