Reporting to the Director of Athletics, this position assumes the role of Head Men’s Soccer Coach and all duties associated with it. The Head Men’s Soccer Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the team, including coaching, training, recruitment, strategic planning, and player development, ensuring a high standard of academic and athletic competitive excellence.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 year’s demonstrated successful coaching and recruiting experience at the college or university level.
- Relevant experience in college or professional athletics.
Duties:
- Lead, inspire, and mentor student-athletes in all aspects of soccer, fostering a competitive, disciplined, and positive team environment.
- Implement strategies to ensure team cohesion, individual development, and a commitment to the values of sportsmanship and academic achievement.
- Enforce team rules, promote a culture of accountability, and provide guidance on both athletic and personal matters.
- Hire, supervise, and mentor assistant coaches and support staff, promoting professional development and collaborative teamwork.
- Ensure effective communication and operational coordination within the coaching staff and athletic department.
- Manage administrative duties related to the soccer program, including scheduling, travel arrangements, budgeting, and compliance with institutional/departmental policies.
