Head Coach, Softball

The Head Coach will organize and direct all aspects of the NCAA Division I Softball program for the University of Maryland.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and recruiting athletically and academically qualified student-athletes;
• Scheduling and conducting regular practice sessions;
• Developing, implementing, and enforcing team rules;
• Overseeing the administrative process for team travel, budget, student-athlete eligibility and academic progress;
• Participating in fund raising and public relations activities; and
• Promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate Athletics program that student-athletes should be successful athletically and academically.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must have at least 3-5 years of demonstrated successful collegiate softball coaching experience.
• Coaching experience at a major NCAA Division I program, proven track record in recruiting, effective communicator and motivator, and collegiate playing experience preferred.
