Description
Responsibilities:

Establish recruiting strategy and procedures to include: preparation of recruiting letters and material; telephone and personal contacts with prospective student-athletes, their coaches and parents; campus interviews; liaison with Admissions and Financial Aid Offices, etc.

Perform pre and post game administrative functions such as, uniform distribution and collection, game reports to media outlets, statistical reports, supervision of facility/athletic area, etc.

Drive team van on designated trips and accompany team on all trips.

Maintain appropriate liaison with the local community and with counterparts in the MCCAC and NJCAA Conferences by attending coaches meetings and serving on committees.

Become thoroughly familiar with the MCCAC and NJCAA rules of eligibility and to work closely with the Academic Coordination for Student Athletes to help ensure academic success.

Take part in department functions such as the Awards Ceremony or other college events and functions such as MIAA contests, Bay State Games, other related events.

Perform related duties assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications:
- Coaching experience in the required sport at the college or high school level; college graduate preferred.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of the game; ability to teach fundamental skills and work within an organized framework.
- Ability to represent the educational goals and philosophy of Holyoke Community College.
