Description
Qualifications:
- Attend the free Unified Sports Track and Field Coaches’ training and complete the free 90-minute course via the Special.
- Olympics of Massachusetts (SOMA)
- Special Educator license preferred.
- Three years working in the field of special education.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration of the High Schools’ Unified Track and Field team which is a MIAA team sport comprised of athletes and peer partners with support from the Special Education Coordinator of Developmental Programs.
- Meet regularly with Coordinator of Developmental Programs and SOMA to ensure quality program standards are being met and policies followed
- Organize and lead all practice sessions and meets both home and away.
- Recruit students with intellectual disabilities and autism and neurotypical peers.
- Coordinate transportation for away meets.
