QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous coaching experience in the assigned sport and at the same level.
- Previous teaching experience at the same level as the assigned sport.
- Valid First Aid/CPR card prior to assuming any coaching responsibility.
- Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint clearance.
- I-9 employment eligibility in compliance with the Immigrations Reform and Control Act.
- HIV/HBV training (obtain within 60 days of hire date – District provided).
- Human Resources new hire training (obtain within 60 days of hire date – District provided).
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's team.
- Building positive public relations in the school, with parents of athletes and in the community.
- Providing direction to assistant coaches and being responsible for their conduct.
- Supporting and enforcing the District’s rules/regulations and code of conduct for athletes.
- Complying with Monroe High School rules, District policies, League and WIAA requirements.
- Ensuring that discipline of athletes is firm, fair, consistent and aligned with District policies and student athlete Code of Conduct.
- Accepting responsibility for conduct/dress of student athletes.
