Description
The Head Women’s Basketball Coach organizes, coordinates, manages, and supervises all aspects of a NCAA Division II basketball program, within the parameters designated by the University, Sunshine State Conference, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Head Coach must demonstrate extensive knowledge of basketball and is responsible for recruiting qualified student athletes, scheduling and coaching intercollegiate basketball games, and scheduling practice preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide successful coaching, counsel and direction, to ensure that team members have the opportunity to realize their potential as athletes, students, and members of the general University community.
- Prepare student-athletes for NCAA, SSC, and other games;
- Develop, prepare, and execute practice schedules and competitions. Communicate practice times and event times with team members.
- Instruct, teach and coach student-athletes on game strategies and performance principles during practice and competition.
- Promote a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
- Conducts video analysis and instruction as a teaching and preparation tool as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in any field is required.

Master's degree is preferred.

1-3 years of relevant work experience required.

General knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Adept at written and oral communication.

A valid driver's license is required.
- Red Cross/First Aid – CPR certification is required.
