Head Coach, Women’s Basketball

The Head Women’s Basketball Coach reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the administration and management of the women’s basketball program. Westminster College is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA II) and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recruitment and retention of qualified student athletes.
• Supervise and hire assistant(s).
• Budgeting, scheduling, and travel arrangements.
• Organize and supervise practices.
• Event management assistance as needed.
• Order and maintain all equipment.
• Compliance with institutional, conference and national governing regulations.
• Assist with fundraising and outreach efforts for program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred.
• A minimum of five years of collegiate coaching experience.
• Demonstrate a record of success in coaching basketball and recruiting student athletes at the collegiate level preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• Effective motivational skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and public relation communication skills.
