Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and administers all aspects of the women’s basketball program including fiscal management.
- Coaches, recruits and provides academic oversight for student-athletes.
- Supervises staff.
- Ensures compliance with University, NCAA, and OVC rules and regulations.
- Develops and administers summer camps and clinics.
- Promotes Southeast Missouri State University and its athletics programs through community involvement, public relations and fund raising under the direction of the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Progressive collegiate women’s basketball coaching experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to actively recruit and attract qualified student-athletes to campus.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate student-athletes academically and athletically.
- Demonstrated budget management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, faculty, community and media.
- Experience in development and administration of summer camps and clinics.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service.
