Description
Responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the NCAA Division I women's golf program at Kennesaw State University. Charged with developing a nationally competitive program while fostering a culture of academic excellence, leadership, and student-athlete development. Oversees recruiting, coaching, program administration, compliance, fundraising, and community engagement, ensuring alignment with NCAA, conference, and university policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and directs all activities of the women's golf program, including training, competitions, and player development.
- Organizes, supervises, and employs sound coaching techniques and practices to prepare student-athletes for Conference Championships and post-season competitions.
- Assumes a leadership role in department-wide priorities and initiatives, contributing to the overall success of KSU Athletics.
- Creates an atmosphere favorable to academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
- Identifies, evaluates, and recruits high-caliber student-athletes who align with KSU's academic and athletic standards.
- Develops relationships with high school and club coaches to build a sustainable talent pipeline.
- Ensures compliance with NCAA recruiting regulations, including evaluations, visits, and communications.
- Monitors academic progress, retention, and graduation rates of student-athletes to ensure compliance with university and NCAA academic standards.
- Collaborates with academic support staff to provide resources that promote student-athlete success and degree completion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's from an accredited institution of higher education or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
- Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license.
- Current, and valid CPR/AED certification.
