Description
Responsible for the organization, development, and leadership of a varsity intercollegiate Women’s Golf Program in support of the mission and core values of the Athletic Department/University.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Develop a detailed recruitment plan that will allow the program to be in a position of competitive leadership in the Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC).
- Inform prospects of university academic programs, talent evaluation, coordinating mailings, telephone calls, and email exchanges.
- Actively monitoring the complete recruitment process, on campus and off campus through in-person contacts.
- Foster an atmosphere of competitive leadership in the GSAC through sport-specific athlete development.
- Attend, plan, develop, and direct all team practices and conditioning activities in the traditional and nontraditional segments.
- Assist with the retention of student-athletes through social and academic counseling; interaction with the university retention team and coaching staff.
- Retention of student-athletes, along with the support of Student-Athlete Services, by effectively coordinating and communicating attendance to all department-sponsored events.
- Create a culture of excellence throughout the student-athlete experience.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred.
- Experience: Previous collegiate coaching preferred.
- Specific Skills: Knowledge of NAIA philosophy, recruitment, rules, and regulations.
- Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications: No.
