Description
The University of North Dakota Department of Athletics is currently searching for a Head Coach - Women's Golf. The purpose of this position is to develop, promote, and supervise all facets of the University’s Division I Women’s Golf program while abiding by the rules and regulations of the NCAA, University of North Dakota, and the conference.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, promote, and supervise all facets of the University’s women’s golf program.
- Design instructional/training in-season/off-season specific to assigned team, player groups, and individuals.
- Teach basic physical health concepts (to include nutritional education) specific to assigned team, player groups and individuals.
- Provide instruction related to team and leadership concepts/skills specific to assigned team, player groups and individuals.
- Provide general safety instruction for all activities in which the team and/or individuals participate. Specifically instruct student athletes on safe training and exercise techniques and ensure assistant coaching are doing the same.
- Provide support and encouragement to promote the mental well-being of the student-athletes and ensure assistant coaching are doing the same.
- Provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety of the student-athletes and ensure assistant coaching are doing the same.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Three (3) years of golf instruction experience.
- Previous experience with collegiate golf coaching at any level as a volunteer, part-time, or full-time.
- Successful completion of a criminal history background check (CHBC).
- Valid Driver’s License.
