Head Coach – Women’s Lacrosse

Essential Job Functions:

• Oversees the comprehensive development of student-athletes.
• Develops and implements a coaching philosophy aligned with the University and the Athletics department’s mission.
• Develops and manages functional team training sessions.
• Creates and executes individualized training sessions tailored to the specific needs of each player.
• Conducts player meetings to review individual performance, offer constructive feedback, and set goals for improvement.
• Analyzes and breaks down game video performance.
• Identifies and recruits academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
• Creates a recruitment strategy that aligns with university admissions and athletic department policies.
• Oversees and conducts official visits for prospective student-athletes.
• Attends national and international events to evaluate and establish contact with potential student-athletes and represent the University.
• Supervises and mentor’s assistant coaches, providing guidance and support for their professional development.

Requirements:

• Administration and Management - Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
• English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language.
• NCAA Rules and Regulations – Strong working knowledge and understanding of all NCAA rules and regulations regarding compliance issues.
• Sport Experience – Extensive knowledge of individual and team skills with the ability to teach these skills.
