Description
Responsibilities:
- game and practice preparation and individual and team development.
- Meet the recruiting and roster expectation set by the Director of Athletics and the Vice President for Admissions.
- Fiscal responsibilities include budget management and fundraising for the women’s lacrosse program and assisting with the Athletic Departments fundraising efforts and events.
- Manage all aspects of the women's lacrosse program, including coaching the team during traditional and non-traditional segments; planning, organizing, and supervising practices.
- Develop and maintain a competitive program while overseeing compliance with NCAA and USA South rules and regulations. Responsible for the education of the women’s lacrosse coaching staff on all NCAA Compliance rules.
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the game and practice facility to ensure the safety and well-being of your student athletes.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Athletics, including but not limited to, game management responsibilities and assisting with department events and fundraising activities.
- Responsible for all women’s lacrosse staff members who assist in recruiting to take the NCAA recruiting/compliance exam annually.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required Master’s degree is preferred.
- Coaching experience on the intercollegiate level; comprehensive knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations and compliance issues.
- Proven ability to fundraise and recruit; excellent communication and conflict resolution skills; demonstrated leadership ability; prior supervisory/management experience; valid driver’s license.
