Description
The Head Coach, Women’s Soccer is responsible for planning, developing and managing the operations of Chicago State’s University’s women’s soccer program.
Duties:
- Oversee and guide growth and development of a young program.
- Evaluate and recruit prospective student-athletes and manage scholarship offers.
- Develop programs and procedures with respect to the training and coaching of student-athletes to compete successfully while assuring their welfare.
- Observe and uphold all academic standards, requirements and policies of Chicago State University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
- Monitor, on a regular and consistent basis, student-athletes to ensure that they are attending class, completing assignments and exams, performing to their highest academic potential, obtaining the highest grades possible, and graduating in a timely manner.
- Cooperate with the development of and strictly adhere to budgets allocated for the Women’s Soccer program.
- Supervise the performance of any assistant coach and other personnel that may be assigned to the Women’s Soccer program.
- Work cooperatively with the University’s Faculty Athletics Representative (“FAR”) and compliance personnel on compliance matters, including, but not limited to, audits or investigations, and NCAA rules education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three to five years of collegiate or professional coaching experience.
