Description
The Women’s Volleyball Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of the sport program. This position recruits, develops and retains student-athletes, monitors academic success of student-athletes, ensures student-athlete well-being, and develops a highly competitive program in compliance with NAIA, WHAC, and UNOH rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit qualified student-athletes for both varsity and developmental teams, adhering to roster requirements and scholarship budget allocations.
- Guide student-athletes through the NAIA eligibility process.
- Responsible for academic oversight and welfare of student-athletes in the program.
- Manage program budget, scheduling, and travel planning.
- Create and implement practice and game strategies.
- Maintain and supervise a staff of assistant coaches to aid in program operations and student-athlete development.
- Implement disciplinary measures for student-athletes, as necessary.
- Manage the inventory, maintenance and ordering of sport equipment and attire.
- Develop and execute annual program fundraising and alumni outreach plan
- Perform the daily administrative duties of the program.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required, Master’s degree preferred
- Collegiate coaching experience and demonstrated recruiting ability.
- Successful head coaching experience in a collegiate athletic setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record which meets institutional requirements.
