Description
Johnson University Florida is seeking a part-time Head Coach for women’s volleyball. The appointee will plan, organize, direct, and monitor all activities of the intercollegiate women’s volleyball program in compliance with National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) guidelines.
Duties:
- Models, promotes, and encourages the development of individual Christian character, personal integrity, fair play, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and leadership skills among participating student-athletes.
- Organizes and participates in team Christian service projects.
- Recruits and retains student-athletes for each academic year.
- Supervises assistant coaches, athletic assistant student workers assigned by the Athletic Director, and game volunteers.
- Ensures compliance with all regulations, rules, procedures, and policies for the program as established by the NCCAA and by Johnson University Florida.
- Trains student-athletes in conditioning, skills, and strategy development.
- Schedules practices and competitions.
- In conjunction with the Director of Athletic Operations, arranges for travel with team to off-campus competitions; travels with team.
- Works closely with women’s volleyball coaches from District-area schools to develop rapport and enhance recruitment of student-athletes.
Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge in all aspects of coaching women’s volleyball; effective oral and written communication skills with demonstrated success in recruiting student-athletes.
- Awareness of various learning styles.
- High standards of professional and ethical conduct.
