Description
Indian Hills Community College is an NJCAA Division I institution. The Head Coach reports to the Vice President, Student Development & Operations and is responsible for managing all aspects of the women’s wrestling programs located on the Centerville, IA campus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s required, Master’s Degree preferred.
- Successful coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level is preferred
- Must relate well to people and display a high degree of competency within the discipline.
- Must show a high level of organizational skills and a willingness to successfully work independently.
Work Performed:
- Schedule, organize and oversee all practices and regular season events. Organize travel and game day preparations.
- In cooperation with Athletic Director, maintain operating and scholarship budget for the women’s wrestling program.
- Evaluate student-athlete performance in practice and at events and design plans/strategies for improvement.
- Provide individual and group instruction focused on the technical improvement of the individual.
- Facilitate wrestling camps as directed.
- Coordinate and/or assist in athletic booster club activities.
- Assist Athletic Department Administrative Assistant to ensure payment of officials is processed.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism toward student-athletes and other coaches, peers, parents, and members of the community.
- Promote student body support for athletic events.
