Description
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes to compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), and be among the top programs within the conference.
- Oversee scheduling, practice planning, game day operations and travel.
- Oversee the overall administration of the men’s wrestling program including the recommendation for hire and supervision of coaching staff.
- Oversee the program’s operational and recruitment budget.
- Understand and follow the rules, regulations and protocol of the University, GLVC and the NCAA.
- Connect with the alumni of the program including but not limited to opportunities to meet, invitations to appropriate team activity and other stewardship activity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree.
- Five or more years as a successful coach.
- Thorough understanding of the sport including all technical aspects.
- The ability to effectively teach team and individual skills connected with team and student-athlete development.
