Description
Typical Duties & Responsibilities:

Instruct student-athletes individually depending on the event or sport.

Organize and execute effective team practice and coaching.

Assess athletes’ skills and assign them to events.

Organize and host cross country and track and field (indoor and outdoor) meets.
-
Participate in scheduling, planning, and travel arrangements for away competitions.

Identify, evaluate, and encourage the application and acceptance of student-athletes in accordance with University, NCAA, and SAA policies and regulations.

Monitor team budget; purchase and ensure maintenance of track and cross-country equipment and uniforms.

Manage and evaluate assistant coaching staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level or experience competing as an athlete at the collegiate level.
- Valid Tennessee Driver’s license.
- NCAA Compliance certification.
