Head Cross County/Assistant Track & Field Coach

Buena Vista University is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Head Cross County/Assistant Track & Field Coach to lead our intercollegiate cross-country program. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of coaching success at the high school or collegiate level, a passion for student-athlete development, and a strong commitment to academic and athletic achievement.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated successful coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
• Experience in recruiting student-athletes and fostering their growth both academically and athletically.
• Ability to manage team dynamics, including fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel for competitions and recruiting events.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree.
• Previous experience in program fundraising and budget management.
• A background in working with diverse student-athlete populations.
