Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years old per WIAA regulations.
- Current First Aid/CPR card or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- WIAA Hands on Football Safety Certified.
- Must be a person of high character and values that will set a positive example for all students at Pullman High School.
- Flexible schedule to allow for supervision of all program practices/events.
- Evidence of successful competitive coaching and/or playing experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of football fundamentals and efficient and effective practice planning.
- Demonstrated strategies to motivate athletes through positive techniques.
ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED ACTIVITIES:
- Prioritize providing positive opportunities that allow student athletes to grow in character.
- Enforce, consistently and fairly, expectations as outlined in the Pullman High School Handbook and the Pullman High School Student Codes of Conduct.
- Ensure athletes are positive members of Pullman High School and their community; prioritize academic success through grade checks and program academic goals.
- Provide positive opportunities for student athletes to thrive in competition.
- Work positively with student athletes to teach essential/fundamental athletic skills necessary to compete, teach proper attitudes to play the sport competitively, and teach proper attitudes regarding winning gracefully and losing with dignity.
- Provide leadership for all levels of the football program.
- Coordinate player development and skill level.
