Description
The head football coach is responsible for all aspects of managing and directing Eastern New Mexico University’s NCAA Division II football program. This position reports directly to the Athletic Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compliance with NCAA and Division II rules and regulations.
- Recruiting and coaching of student-athletes.
- Hiring, supervising, and evaluating the coaching staff.
- Responsible for the football grant-in-aid budget decisions.
- Monitoring student-athletes’ academic achievement.
- Fiscal responsibility for Football budget.
- Fund-raising.
- Coordinating travel arrangements for team competition.
- Program planning and forecasting.
- Working with Athletic Training Staff to ensure optimal care of student-athletes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or closely related field and three years of experience coaching football.
- Successful collegiate coaching experience preferred.
- A valid New Mexico Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment is also required, as well as the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and road conditions.
