Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:
- Advanced (post high school) level playing/coaching experience and advanced knowledge in the sport.
- Understands and respects the past history of the football program and can manage the high expectations that our school community and alumni have for the program.
- Communicative in nature and willing to collaborate with both program coaches as well as other athletic program coaches.
- Possess the ability to articulate vision, properly formulate goals and objectives aligned towards an established vision, and demonstrate adaptability in approach.
- Be active in advanced planning and preparation.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Use a variety of differentiated instructional techniques and technology to meet the needs and improve the abilities of ALL student athletes in football.
- Demonstrate accountability for oneself, coaching staff and players.
- Ability to appropriately incorporate the spiritual component within the program.
- Formulate and conduct a comprehensive off-season training program to include strength and conditioning, skill improvement, and overall elevation as a student-athlete and person.
- Plan and implement targeted, rigorous, and consistent in-season practice time.
- Implement a comprehensive method of issuing, collecting, and tracking ALL equipment, uniforms, and other necessities within the football program.
- Provide supervision of student-athletes in all locker-rooms, weight room, on school provided transportation, and on the field of practice/play.
- Establish/provide game day recommendations to the Athletic Director.
- Demonstrate a calm and friendly demeanor for all parents, alumni, and other stakeholders, as to create respectful conversations centered upon child growth and achievement as athletes, students, and young adults.
