Description
Central State University seeks a visionary and student-centered leader to serve as the Head Football Coach for its NCAA Division II football program. The Head Coach is responsible for the development, management, and administration of a competitive and successful football program that embodies the university’s mission to foster academic excellence, leadership development, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop student-athletes who exemplify academic, athletic, and personal excellence.
- Oversee all aspects of the football program, including practice planning, game preparation, and team performance.
- Administer and manage the program budget in alignment with department guidelines.
- Schedule and coordinate team travel, games, and practices in compliance with NCAA and SIAC regulations.
- Procure equipment and uniforms in accordance with university policies.
- Supervise assistant coaches, volunteer assistants, and program staff to maintain a collaborative, high-performing team.
- Actively participate in and create fundraising initiatives to support program growth and development.
