Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage the district's football program and facilities.
- Implement physical and academic eligibility requirements for participation and verify each athlete’s eligibility.
- Maintain an active program that promotes good sportsmanship and student development.
- Obtain and use evaluative findings (including student achievement data) to gauge the football program effectiveness and ensure that program renewal is continuous and responsive to student needs.
- Plan necessary time, resources, and materials to support accomplishment of department goals.
- Prepare and approve all interscholastic game schedules.
- Arrange transportation, lodging, and meals for out-of-town athletic events.
- Work with the Athletics Director and athletic booster club, including fundraising, concession stands, and game-day programs.
- Collaborate with district leadership to support the implementation of athletic operations, including but not limited to ticket sales, police and first responders, game officials, game announcers, gate/clock workers, and ensure overall preparedness of all stadiums, gymnasiums, and other athletic-related facilities and parking.
- Oversee process of cleaning, repairing, and storing all athletic equipment.
