The Head Girls Lacrosse Coach is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a school environment, overseen by the school principal, where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount.
Qualifications:
- Ability to manage Athletic Budget.
- Ability to manage/lead Athletic staff.
- Build teamwork/leadership capacity in student athletes.
- Comply with GHSA rules and regulations.
- Ability to maintain a successful program.
Essential Functions:
- Teach at an appropriate instructional level.
- Provide content development.
- Assist all students in achieving academic standards and establishing high expectations for performance.
- Promote student engagement and provide appropriate assessments.
- Monitor student progress.
- Respond to adequate and inadequate student performance.
- Support students with encouragement.
- Use time efficiently.
- Maintain effective physical setting for instruction.
- Maintain appropriate student behavior in the classroom.
- Follow professional practices consistent with school and district policies in working with students, student records, parents, and colleagues.
- Ensure adherence to the Code of Ethics for Educators in Georgia, as established by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
