Description
This coaching position is at John Sedgwick Middle School, where parents, the school, and the community are active partners in the education of our students by sharing in planning, resources, and accountability. Students are expected to understand how the concepts and ideas learned in school apply to the world of work and good citizenship. It is a place where people respect themselves and others and take pride in their school and what it represents.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Capable of coaching all phases of the sport.
- Assist in administration of contests.
- Available on practice days.
- Supervise locker room – home and away.
- Available for home and away contests. This may include some Saturday commitments.
- Responsible for equipment; pre-season and post season inventories.
- Monitor summer programs.
- Be available to drive team vans.
- Demand strong team discipline and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, trainers, athletic director, and administration.
- Follow all coaching duties listed in the John Sedwick, Narrows League, and WIAA handbooks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current certificated employee of the South Kitsap School District.
- Previous participation in the sport.
- Previous coaching experience.
- U.S. Soccer Federation National "C" License or higher.
