Description
Columbia Basin College (“CBC” or “the College”) is seeking a Head Golf Coach whose primary responsibility is to develop and maintain a competitive program in intercollegiate women's and men’s golf within the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (“NWAC”).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Run all aspects of an intercollegiate golf program;
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies, establish goals and evaluate results;
- Understand and follow all rules and regulations governing NWAC athletic programs in addition to the NWAC rules governing golf, especially in matters pertaining to recruitment and eligibility of student athletes;
- Create practice and game schedules and provide instruction in the fundamentals of competitive golf that will help athletes improve their athletic skills, develop their maximum potential, and advance to the next level of intercollegiate competition if so desired;
- Manage and operate the CBC golf programs within the budget established by the Associate Students of Columbia Basin College (ASCBC).
Qualifications:
- Experience in playing and coaching competitive golf;
- Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license or ability to obtain one before date of hire; and
- Possession of a current CPR/First Aid Card or ability to obtain one.
