Head Golf Coach

Saint Ignatius High School, a highly successful Jesuit college preparatory school for boys in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a Head Golf Coach for the 2022-2023 school year. The Head Golf Coach candidate must possess demonstrated knowledge and proven techniques necessary to develop and maintain an efficient, competitive golf program for highly competitive high school athletes and teams. The ideal candidate will be an engaging person who will facilitate growth and collaboration both on and off the field.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:

• Organize and supervise the school's golf program for grades 9-12.
• Work with the Athletic Department on scheduling matches, development of the golf budget, travel arrangements, and obtaining college scholarship assistance for qualified athletes.
• Perform pre-season and post-season activities.
• Inventory and maintain all golf equipment and compile related statistics.
• Train and evaluate assistant coaches and members of the team.
• Coordinate overall practice schedule for the golf program including all indoor practice/tryout sessions.
• Maintain professional growth through attendance of coaching clinics, conferences and post-graduate study.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience coaching or participating in a college or high-school golf program is preferred.
