Head Hockey Coach

St. Xavier High School seeks a Head Hockey Coach to lead its competitive Division I hockey program, beginning July 1, 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the sport, proven coaching experience, and a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the ice.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the hockey program for grades 9–12.
• Manage team scheduling, travel arrangements, budgeting, and equipment inventory.
• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches in collaboration with the Athletic Director.
• Develop and implement structured practice plans, including conditioning programs.
• Coordinate pre-season and post-season activities, including team evaluations and statistical analysis.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration with parent groups.
• Plan and lead summer programs and camps for grade school and high school students.
• Stay engaged in professional development through coaching clinics and conferences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Secondary teaching certification is preferred.
• Coaching experience or participation in a high school or collegiate hockey program.
