Description
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Overall administration and organization of both the men’s and women’s golf program. General organization of all practices.
- Administrative duties such as budgets, purchase orders, trip requests and travel coordination.
- Recruitment of in state and out of state athletes.
- Advising, retention and counseling of current student athletes.
- Promote college in positive light.
- Promote student academic and athletic success.
- Monitor and report student-athlete attendance and grades to ensure compliance with eligibility policy and student success to graduation.
- Responsible for community relations including planning and implementing projects such as fundraising.
- Responsible for the purchase of equipment including equipment bidding and purchasing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
- A Bachelor's degree.
- The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust.
- Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position.
- Work frequently involves contacts requiring considerable discussion of problems, material presentations, and resolving issues impacting departments or divisions.
