Description
The Head Coach prepares the team for a full intercollegiate varsity season. Develop a recruiting plan and evaluate and identify qualified student-athletes. Prepare and manage operating, recruiting, and fundraising budgets. Work with local high schools and clubs to organize and execute pool rentals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Organize and conduct team practices to prepare the team for competition. Travel locally, regionally, and nationally for any regular or post-season events.
- Oversee the student-athlete’s academic progress and be available for consultation and support for overall student-athlete well-being.
- Develop and execute a recruiting plan for prospective student-athletes.
- Create and implement a plan of engagement and communication with alumni and fundraising initiatives.
- Serve in an administrative capacity as needed, including but not limited to overseeing fall and spring game management, budget management, full-time and part-time assistant supervision, as well as serving on department and campus-wide committees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 2-4 years of collegiate coaching experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends throughout the year to accomplish the tasks necessary for success in this field.
