The head men's and women's tennis coach position is responsible for planning and implementing a competitive and well-rounded intercollegiate men's and women's tennis program to include the holistic development of the individual student-athletes.
Provide oversight of all aspects relating to building, developing, and leading a highly competitive Division I men's and women's tennis program. Plan, schedule and conduct skill instruction, practices, try-outs and competitions. Use teaching and coaching methods to help players improve their tennis skills. The head coach will also be responsible for all aspects of program budget management including the administration of athletic aid and recruiting expenses.
Foster and maintain a culture within the men's and women's tennis program that demonstrates a commitment to NCAA rules compliance.
Interface with the campus and community to promote the University and the men's and women's tennis program. In conjunction with the Athletic Development officer and other campus constituents, conduct and/or participate in fund raising activities for men's and women's tennis.
Bachelor's degree and two years recruiting experience at the four-year level, preferably NCAA Division I OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
