Description
Essential Job Duties:
- Provide administration, leadership, and direction for the intercollegiate basketball program.
- Teach individual basketball and strategies; build, develop, and evaluate teamwork; and develop and enforce training rules.
- Monitor and support the academic performance, leadership, and progress of student-athletes with an emphasis on retaining student-athletes.
- Scout and recruit with student athletes who are qualified, both academically and athletically, for intercollegiate completition.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive relationships and effective communication with local area club and high school basketball coaches and programs.
- Conduct intercollegiate programs in accordance with Northwest Athletic. Conference (NWAC) and established college and athletic department rules and regulations.
- In collaboration with the Director of Athletics, work cooperatively with Student Activities leaders and staff.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the college.
- High school and/or college level basketball playing and/or coaching experience.
- Current valid unrestricted driver's license.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain as a condition of employment.
