Description
Examples of Work Performed:
- Formulate objectives for the coming athletic season.
- Develop a sound recruiting philosophy that includes contacts with area student/athletes.
- Maintain awareness of new ideas and techniques in Basketball by attending clinics and workshops.
- Maintain knowledge of rules and regulations of the NCAA and its governance. Violation of NCAA and RMAC rules is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
- Stay informed of all rule changes concerning the sport of Basketball.
- Effectively direct search and hiring process for graduate assistants. Appraise and direct graduate assistants as assigned.
- Travel required where appropriate. Schedule travel arrangements and accommodations for the team.
- Attend all practices and games and have the ability to effectively coach the sport and skills of men’s basketball.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Experience coaching basketball at any level.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work varying hours including nights and weekends.
