Description
Under the general supervision of the Athletic Director, manage a Division I Men's Ice Hockey team as Head Coach in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations. Areas of responsibility include: practice organization/coaching, recruiting, conditioning, supervision of assistant coaches, budget, public relations, and other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director.
Responsibilities:
- Organizes and administers intercollegiate sport(s).
- May supervise a staff and/or have budgetary responsibility.
- May conduct practices, identify and recruit qualified student-athletes, develop competitive schedules, coordinate team travel, and insure compliance with governing rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of ice hockey coaching experience is preferred.
- Previous collegiate ice hockey playing experience is preferred.
- Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups and administrators, faculty, staff, and students.
