The Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach is responsible for the development, management, leadership direction, and operation of an effective and competitive NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse program. The recruitment and retention of high quality student-athletes in this sport will be integral to this position. The Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of the program which includes recruiting, player development, day-to-day administrative duties, budgeting, academic progress, mentoring, scheduling, and understanding of compliance rules, community relations, athletics development and the Marketing and promotions of this quality program.
Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills, whether dealing with individuals or groups and an ability to work well with different constituents.
Effectively analyze and teach the fundamental technical and tactical elements of the sport.
Successfully motivate all individuals associated with the team.
Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Positive attitude towards the University and its intercollegiate programs is essential.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Bachelor's degree.Master's degree (preferred).
Expertise in the sport having a minimum of 5 years of progressive coaching experience. Intercollegiate level coaching experience (preferred).
Knowledge of and commitment to the philosophy and mission of NCAA Division I athletics.
Possess any/all current certifications required for this position.
Collegiate recruiting experience (preferred).
