Description
The Head Men's Soccer Coach organizes and administers intercollegiate sport(s). May supervise a staff and/or have budgetary responsibility. May conduct practices, identify and recruit qualified student-athletes, develop competitive schedules, coordinate team travel, and ensure compliance with governing rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a transformational experience for student-athletes centered on our Pioneer Leadership Institute’s pillars of Personal Enhancement, Leadership Development, Career Development, Community and Alumni Engagement.
- Provide an overall positive educational environment for our student-athletes conducive to learning, athletic development, social growth, and preparing them for life beyond college.
- In conjunction with the athletic tutoring and advising program, oversee the total academic progress of the team. Fundraising and Revenue Generation.
- Actively support and enhance alumni relationships.
- Actively support the Pioneering Forward Annual Fund.
- Actively enhance sports specific fundraising efforts in partnership with the Foundation and Athletic Administration.
- Maintain roster goal expectations Competitive Excellence.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Minimum three (3+) years of successful coaching experience on the collegiate level.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrated successful recruiting ability
- First Aid, CPR, AED by start date.
- Strong administrative organizational skills.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including that for recruiting.
- Fund raising experience and developing community support for the program.
