Description
Bryant and Stratton College’s (Wisconsin) Athletic Department is seeking a Head Men’s & Women’s Cross-Country coach. All BSC sports compete at the NJCAA Division I or II level (scholarship offering) in Region IV. The Bobcats have been successful in the NJCAA and have featured All-Americans and a Region IV title in Cross Country.
Duties:
- Recruiting players, holding tryouts, and coaching the intercollegiate teams at Bryant & Stratton College. Achieving minimum roster goals is vital for this role. The Coach is also responsible for the instruction of players, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
- NJCAA rules as it relates to offering scholarships.
- Become knowledgeable NJCAA rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements.
- Scheduling, organizing, supervising, and conducting all practice sessions. The Coach is expected to attend and conduct practice seasons allowed by the NJCAA during the off season. Practice schedules will be at the discretion of the coach during the seasons.
- Work with the Athletic Director on securing and preparation of practice and game facilities.
- Select assistant coaches with approval of the Athletic Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
- Required: Coaching experience at the high school level or above.
- Desired: Coaching experience at the college level.
- Desired: College recruiting experience.
- First aid/CPR certification is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning and leadership skills required.
