Head Middle School Volleyball Coach

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work in collaboration with the high school volleyball coach(es).
• Coordinate and oversee the selection of uniforms, practice sessions, workshops, and other activities which the athletic director deems necessary for the program.
• Implement and maintain team rules/guidelines for consistent compliance of discipline.
• Conduct and supervise all practices.
• Ongoing and regular communication with student athletes and parents regarding the program vision, philosophy, schedule, and all important program information.
• Supervise student athletes before, during, and after practices and games.
• Partner with the athletic director and varsity coach(es) to provide an excellent and meaningful student athlete experience.
• Provides instruction to students in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport.
• Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities/exercises.
• Assess students' skills, monitors students during competition and practice.
• Follow established procedures in the event of an injury.
• Model sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials and spectators.
• Maintain a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Per WIAA - minimum age for head coach is 21 years of age, assistant coach is 19 years of age.
• Previous Coaching experience preferred.
• Reasoning ability.
