Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work in collaboration with the high school volleyball coach(es).

Coordinate and oversee the selection of uniforms, practice sessions, workshops, and other activities which the athletic director deems necessary for the program.

Implement and maintain team rules/guidelines for consistent compliance of discipline.

Conduct and supervise all practices.

Ongoing and regular communication with student athletes and parents regarding the program vision, philosophy, schedule, and all important program information.

Supervise student athletes before, during, and after practices and games.

Partner with the athletic director and varsity coach(es) to provide an excellent and meaningful student athlete experience.

Provides instruction to students in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport.

Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities/exercises.

Assess students' skills, monitors students during competition and practice.

Follow established procedures in the event of an injury.

Model sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials and spectators.

Maintain a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times.

High School diploma or GED.

Per WIAA - minimum age for head coach is 21 years of age, assistant coach is 19 years of age.

Previous Coaching experience preferred.
