Description
The softball coach is responsible for oversight of the softball program and administering the sport in a manner that is consistent with the policies and procedures of Notre Dame High School. The ideal candidate will have an appropriate combination of education, training, and experience working with students.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the women’s softball program.
- Organize and coordinate all team functions, including practices, competitive schedules, and travel.
- Recruit, supervise and evaluate assistant softball coaches.
- Develop conditioning and practice programs to ensure student athletes are appropriately prepared and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, productive and effective team environment on and off the playing field.
- Cultivate a positive team oriented culture with an expectation of accountability.
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
- Past experience working with children in an educational setting (preferred).
- Required Fingerprinting/Department of Justice and Tuberculosis clearance and all other required clearances as required by the district, the California Department of Education, or by the California Interscholastic Federation.
