The Head Strength and Conditioning/Life Skills Coach shall be responsible in carrying out the supervision and direction of the Strength and Conditioning program at Northwest MS Community College.
Direct and supervise all aspects of the NWCC Strength and Conditioning/Life Skills program.
Work with all head coaches (sport specific) to implement and design training programs (pre-season, in-season, off-season) to improve athletic performance (strength, speed, agility, flexibility, and endurance), reducing athletic injuries, teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills, and life skills.
Be knowledgeable of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and Mississippi Association of Community/Junior College (MACCC) conference rules and regulations pertaining to eligibility, recruiting, conduct of coaches, etc.
Supervise and observe student-athletes with integrity and with a professional attitude.
Serve as an active member of the Senatobia Campus administrative and faculty team.
Along with other coaches and the Senatobia Campus Physical Plant/Maintenance Department, assure that the weight room is safe, clean, and ready for use at all times.
Assist in ensuring that conduct of the student-athletes are of high standards on the campus and at all school related functions.
Assure that all practices are designed, evaluated, assessed, operated, and supervised to provide quality instruction (proper lifting techniques, safety, etc.) and conditioning at all times.
Organize and generate a schedule of workout times for all athletic teams.
Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and Senatobia Campus Vice President.
