Description
The Head Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for design and implementation of Men's Basketball strength, speed, and conditioning programs. Primary sport responsibility is Men's Basketball and requires involvement with practices and competitions, including travel to away competitions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement athletic development programs for Men's Basketball, including but not limited to teaching and motivating student-athletes during all strength training, speed and conditioning activities.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other support staff to provide safe and appropriate programming.
- Assist with the collection and interpretation of all testing data consisting of weight room, speed and GPS data.
- Coordinate athletic development activities associated with practice and competition both home and away.
- Aid the Director of Strength and Conditioning Coach in the planning and organization of training for other sports as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with one year experience in a collegiate or professional strength and conditioning environment, performing and teaching weight lifting, running and rehabilitation exercises.
- Strength and Conditioning certified; CPR/AED certified.
